All About Us

Meet Cricket & Coconut: two tiny cats with big personalities.

Cricket is a cinnamon-coated low-rider. She’s the type to sniff your coffee, inspect your suitcase, and then settle in for a nap right on top of the laundry you just did. She lives for catnip, watching the birds on the deck in the sun, and supervising your every move.

Coconut is a silly white cloud with a talent for standing on two legs and getting treats out of thin air. He’s soft, a total scaredy cat, and just a little clueless. He loves stroller rides, and doing tricks for treats. His voice sounds like a little mouse, making him even sweeter.

Together, they’re the heart of The Tiny Cats, where kitty mischief, tiny paws, and soft fur bring all of us together.

FAQ

  • Minuets! Also known as Napoleons, which is a cross between Persians and Munchkins.

  • Well, Minuets (also known as Napoleons (short king vibes)) are a cross between Persians and Munchkins. Making a perfect combination of the round faces and luxurious coats of Persians with the short stature of Munchkins. The result? A sweet, compact kitty that looks essentially permanently like a kitten.

    They’re known for:

    • 🐱 Short legs & round features

    • 🧠 Playful, curious personalities

    • 🛋️ Lap-loving cuddly energy

    • 😻 Big eyes + expressive faces

Minuets are affectionate, attention-seeking, and tend to be both social and surprisingly agile despite their low-to-the-ground stature.

Minuet cats are generally overall a healthy breed, but like any hybrid, they can inherit conditions from their parent lines. Their Persian heritage means they may be prone to tear staining, polycystic kidney disease (PKD), or respiratory issues, especially if bred with a flatter face. Their Munchkin side can occasionally contribute to joint or spinal issues due to their short legs, though most Minuets live active, playful lives without any limitations. Obviously, regular vet checks, healthy diet, and mindful breeding practices go a long way.

  • Biologically no (but don’t tell them that), they both came from different breeders and are about 4 months apart in age.

  • Nope not at all thankfully! That’s not to say they aren’t picky eaters (Coconut), or that they don’t get into things they aren’t supposed to sometimes (Cricket with anything sticky)!

  • Mostly indoor- however, they love being outside on the patio when weather permits. Being able to watch the birds up-close is a thrill to them. Plus, both of them are leash trained and more recently, getting used to stroller rides in the park as well.

  • Cricket came from a breeder named Lada in San Diego. She retired in 2024 unfortunately.

Coconut came from a breeder named Carley in Tennessee. Her Cattery is called Carley’s Cattery. She specializes in long hair and mostly white Minuets.

  • No problem! Cricket and Coconut love getting treats, gifts, and collaborating.
